Legacy Interfaces

The Execu/Suite PMS Legacy interfaces are serial only and support a limited number of devices. We can interface with any system that emulates any of the following interfaces. At the bottom of this page you'll find the program names associated with each interface.

Please consider upgrading your older Legacy interfaces to our Comtrol based interfaces.

Just a few reasons to upgrade from older Legacy interfaces.
  • Legacy interfaces haven't been developed or sold since 2009.
  • Comtrol interfaces are actively being developed and new supported devices are added on a regular basis.

  • Legacy Interfaces don't support IP devices.
  • Comtrol interfaces support both IP and Serial devices.

  • Legacy interfaces can't recover from the resets that are common with many USB serial port adapters even if the connection is reestablished.
  • Comtrol interfaces are able to recover from most communication issues as long as the connection is reestablished.
  Maid Status Codes

Configuration of Maid Status Codes is a common question we get. Unfortunately, we can't help you with them. These codes are predefined by the manufacturer of the device you're using, whether it be a PBX, or an application like DuVoice. We don't have any control over the codes being sent or how they're configured in your device. We receive a message telling us to set a room to 'Clean', 'Dirty', or 'Needs Inspection'.

Based on the code key into the phone, it's the devices responsibility to provide us with the correct message and we can't change how we respond to a specific message. For example: We can't treat a 'Clean' message as a 'Dirty' message to accommodate your desire to use different codes at the phone. If you need to redefine the code you're entering in the phone, contact your device vendor for assistance.
