If you attempt to log into POS from a terminal number that hasn't been previously configured for the current company, you will see a message, "Terminal record not set up." You can create a new terminal record, or you can copy a terminal record from another that's already working in the current company.

You may also find that this terminal has no keyboard record and get the error "Keyboard record not set up for this terminal and menu." If this is happening, you also need to create a new keyboard record or copy a keyboard record from a working terminal.
Keyboard Record Not Set Up

If you're not able to access the Administrator Menu from the new terminal, you will have to access from another terminal, in the same company, that's currently working. You can use this terminal as the 'source' terminal when copying settings and the new terminal will have the same settings. However, you should still re-select the printers in the new terminal once you can log in. POS Printer Setup

Create New Terminal Record From Scratch
  • Make sure you're in the correct company.

  • Go to the POS Administrator menu and select Terminal Records.

  • Enter the terminal number of the terminal giving the error and press Enter.

  • Fill in the settings appropriate for this terminal.

  • Save by clicking the OK button at the bottom of the window.

Create a new Terminal Record by Copying an Existing Terminal
  • Make sure you're in the correct company.

  • Go to the POS Administrator menu and select Terminal Records.

  • Enter the terminal number of a working terminal, in the same company, and press Enter.
This should be a terminal that works as closely as possible to the new terminal you're configuring.

  • Click Copy at the bottom of the window and enter the Terminal Number of the new terminal.

  • Click OK to copy.

  • Bring up the settings for the new terminal and make any changes for this terminal.

  • Save by clicking the OK button at the bottom of the window
