Shift4's i4Go V2 adds several layers of security to your credit card processing, greatly decreasing the chances that customer cardholder data would ever be at risk.

We can install the necessary software updates without going live with i4Go V2, so even if you aren't ready on your end, we can still begin preparation on our end. We will schedule the updates with you.

  2. Before you can go live, please make sure the requirements have been met. Shift4 i4Go V2 Requirements

  3. After installing, you may find that your Windows security settings are high and scripts can't run, preventing the interface from working. This is typically caused by Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration and may require special settings found here Shift4 i4Go V2 Internet Explorer Trusted Zone.

  4. P2PE encrypted card readers are now supported, including the IDTech M130 with a swipe and keypad. This COMPLETELY removes all hardware and software from ever seeing card swipe data since even manually entered card data is encrypted in the device before being sent to the workstation and software.

  5. Several layers of authentication have been added, ensuring that only computers you allow can process credit cards. Before each transaction, the workstation must obtain authorization by first providing credentials to Shift4. Also, because of IP address white listing, only workstations inside your network can obtain authorization. Even if your server and workstations were stolen, the thief wouldn't be able to process credit cards, issue credits, etc.

  6. As with all versions of Shift4, no critical cardholder data is stored. This means that even if your Execu/Tech software database is stolen and decrypted, the thief will find no credit card data.
