Events / groups

Setting up events and /or groups does not necessarily change inventory, and it is recommended that you not hard block rooms in CRS.  See Groups for further explanation.  

Here is how to view availability when there are group blocks.

In this instance the group rooms were blocked in PMS and not in CRS.



After five rooms were blocked from a 20-room count, 15 rooms are available in general inventory.
In CRS 5 rooms were assigned for this group.  That means that give rooms are available for the group; general inventory has not changed.  "Deduct" is a hard block in CRS and this is left at zero since five rooms were blocked in PMS.  "Non deduct" means that this is the number of rooms remaining for the group after rooms have been blocked via "Deduct".
